Here is an “open letter” that I sent to a list of friends today… :) Read on! :

Subject: Fwd: Share your letter to Congress with your friends
Date: 3/19/2013 10:51 AM

Greetings, Friends! :)

Yes, this is “out of the blue!” and so feel free to delete! ūüėČ

I’m forwarding you a copy of a letter that I sent today to my “congress critters” – my “representative” in congress and “my” two US senators from California.

The cool thing is, it only took me about two minutes – literally! – to send this to all three of them! I used the facilities of

to send this letter. And, no, in this instance, I did not write the letter – it was composed by one of their “resident geniuses,” James Wilson. This group, Downsize DC, is truly a work of real genius! They have continuously been refining their presentations and perspectives on government, and are doing some amazing things to help people “break out of the mold” of stunted thinking about politics and government! :) I could hardly be more excited or approving of what they are doing! :)

In any case, I hope that if you should have a few minutes today, you’ll read the letter – below my signature lines – and think about what it has to say! :) I am also going to post this to my blog at .

I would also be quite pleased if you were to visit Downsize DC on the web, and consider joining the group – absolutely free! – and doing two things;

If you’ve read this far, Thank You! :) I’d¬†love to discuss with you sometime the¬†illusions we have all had pressed on us in our society, our churches, our families and communities, because these illusions are truly devastating to our lives! If we could only become¬†aware of how “they” fool us into violating the golden rule, our neighbors, our families, and our children and grandchildren would be¬†far better off! :)

I am pretty sure you already¬†realize that there is something¬†seriously wrong with America… Can we talk about it, and perhaps find a way to help you put your finger on just what it is? :)

Love and blessings!,

PS I also thought the DDC “Quote of the Day” quite interesting!:

*Quote of the Day:* “We should distinguish at this point between ‘government’ and ‘state’ …

A government is the consensual organization by which we adjudicate disputes, defend our rights, and provide for certain
common needs … A state on the other hand, is a coercive organization asserting or enjoying a monopoly over the use of physical force in some geographic area and exercising power over its subjects.”

Subject: Cap The Debt!

Do NOT raise the debt ceiling ever again.

Did you know a recent poll shows… (

This means… … we don’t believe you’re really “governing” with our consent. You’re not serving us. After all, what kind of government…

What do you call an institution that does all of that while saddling the people with ever-growing public debt? Doesn’t this sound like a ruthless, corrupt, Leviathan State?

I’m not being “governed.” I’m being RULED! Slavery is the condition of those who are ruled!

I want you to take steps to act like a REAL government for a change. One that SERVES us with our CONSENT. That’s why I demand that you… REFUSE TO RAISE THE DEBT CEILING.

This means…¬† you would have a balanced budget and no more new debt, but¬† you would have to cut back on the evil things described above. You can still achieve this while keeping commitments to those dependent on you.

Stop ruling us. Start serving us. Or we the people will look for peaceful ways to alter or abolish this Leviathan State.

Mr. Dann McCreary
